25 Years of Experience
In 1999 I was working for an internet service provider in Massachusetts as their main website developer/graphic designer and decided to move back to my hometown of Sturgis, Michigan to start my own website design company. Within 6 months I had landed site designs for the City of Sturgis, the Sturgis Area Chamber of Commerce and the Sturgis Hospital. Over the next 25 years I continued to build my portfolio and expanded my skills into digital photography, videography and social media marketing.
In 2017, I secured a contract with St. Joseph County to develop a new recreational project for the local waterways, to promote the county Parks & Recreation Department and provide general county-wide marketing of local resources.
In 2020 I was hired as the Marketing Director for Shipshewana, Indiana and designed new branding materials, including wayfinding signs and a Visitor Guide that had a distribution of over 50,000 copies.
I now provide smaller contract jobs and selectively work on website design projects that align with my ethics and values.

WordPress is a content management system that has been used for decades and is known for its reliability and ease of use. It is also scalable so pages can be added at any time without a lot of hassle. I work with an additional design plugin known as DIVI which allows for customization for a more unique look. These two powerful products make it possible to have a website developed quickly and affordably. This site was designed using WordPress & DIVI.

Looking for an easy way to sell products online or need a booking site for your services? Square offers website options where customers can not only buy or book through the site, but also allows for additional elements to add content so customers or clients can learn more about what you have to offer.

And while I see some value to these tools for quick little graphics, there’s no denying that everyone’s marketing is starting to look the same – the same fonts, the same colors, the same AI generated images.
